Bear in mind most of these objects are 'sketches' and are mostly me just messing around with some crazy ideas. None are refined. I take no credit for the original objects used to remix these new objects.
So for this object, I thought it would be fun to mix an object used for battle with one used for the simple task of eating. A slight juxtaposition.
Again, making the bird the pirate switches the role and grabs your attention through juxtaposition. At least, that's what I was hoping for in this object.
Mostly just fooling around with whatever I could put on a teddy bears head. Seeing as it is the "poo" emoji, I thought it would be funny to make 'poobear".

Remixing these two objects creates yet another form of juxtaposition, as (for me) a palm tree reminds me of a key (small island). If you were stranded you would probably want an object such as a radio to contact anyone for rescue.

As I mentioned before, a LOT of experimenting here... I mostly just liked the idea of a big angry ogre in a sweet soft treat.

As you can see I was really fishing for ideas with this object... Sorry.

For this object, I was really just mixing a couple items with a common use to make it look more interesting.

When I saw the gnome I just had to use it with something, so the first thing I thought of was a garden, and then next in line after that was obviously flowers. So I put a flower in his head, it could probably be used as a flower pot, though I'm sure I'm not the first to think of something like this.
Now with this one I was stretching it a bit... I saw the gray texture of the elephant and it reminded me of the Nintendo gaming system from loooooong ago. So, I slapped the buttons on it!

Now for this object I won't lie, I really just wanted to put dollar signs on something. I was experimenting with a bike but maybe later something else will come to mind.
Well, there you have it, my first step into remix culture. I think it would be a lot of fun to keep coming up with ideas, and then using more advanced software to refine some of these into something that looks a little better, even throwing some textures in would make them a lot more pleasing to the eye.
